Harbor House HB (LGBTQ): This house sits in a quiet community set up against beautiful Huntington Harbor.  The house features a relaxing outdoor pool and spa, along with plenty of room to layout and enjoy the sun. There are kayaks available for the clients to enjoy an outing on the private bay less than a block away. They offer the same structure and rules that Next Step Recovery is known for. What makes this house unique is that it provides a safe space to recover for individuals from all walks of life. Our staff’s mission is to offer their support as an advocate and are well versed and knowledgeable on inclusivity within the LGBTQ community. 

 

With extensive life skills training and requiring clients to be active in their program, work with a sponsor, get commitments in local meetings, and be progressing through their steps. Mandatory job search is typically enforced after 30 days. The managers at this house are well known for the attentiveness to the clients and staying involved in their lives, offering support at every turn, and most importantly creating lasting relationships between the clients.
